Processing time UK Tier 1 – VFS – Hydeabad.

Hi Team,

I have submitted my Tier 1 application at VFS Hyderabad on 1st Feb 2010. I have received an SMS stating that the application is forwarded to British Council on the same day. On 6th Feb 2010 I have received another SMS stating that the application is under process with British Council.

I would like to know your opinion on how much time it is going to take for processing.

Its taking approximately 20 working days or 3 working weeks in normal scenarios, but again it may vary from case to case...All the very best to you.

Got the text message on 10th feb saying ur visa is under consideration.

By looking at the results on the below website we must expect next week.

I have recevied an update saying tha processed visa application was couried via Bludart on 17th Feb 2010. It is coming form chennai. So, Hope i will come to know about the result by tomorrow.

Hello Everyone,

I have applied for my dependents on 8th February in VFS - Hyderabad. And have not got any update yet, and today I called the chennai vfs for the updates.

Chennai VFS provided me a very generic update "It will take 15 or more working days as per the process, we have received huge number of applications ".

One more update is , one of my company person has applied for Tier2 dependent on 11th Feb got the visa today.??? Is their process and timeline difference in the way they apply for T1 and T2

Time Lines :
Applied : On 8th Feb applied for Tier1 dependent visa for both my wife and son
Initial Status : Forwarded to British High Commission Chennai
Status Changed on 13th Feb ( Saturday ): visa application is under process at the british high commission

Good hear from karpu about his status update. Hope to get my dependent visa by early next.

It took total 18 calander days / 13 Working days for me from Hyderabad VFS Office.

Application submitted on 1st Feb 2010
VISA received on 18th Feb 2010.

Date confirmed as dispatched to High Commission :- 17th Feb 2010
Date status changed - Visa Application Under Processing :- 22nd Feb 2010
As of today status still remains the same.

With these timelines approximately when could we expect our package?
