Unmarried partner endorsement query

Hi,

My boyfriend applied for an Unmarried Partner Visa and received his passport back with the visa, endorsed "SPOUSE/CP to accompany " with my name and DOB.

He queried with the embassy and was told all partner visas were now issued with that endorsement. I saw an older post where the endorsement was just "to accompany ..." without the Spouse / CP part . We are not married and he is not my civil partner. Can anyone confirm if this endorsement is correct, particularly recent successful unmarried partner applicants ?

I have been worried that if it was wrong it would cause trouble in 2 years for the extension / ILR. Gotta stop worrying !
