plz help!!!!

my question is regarding one of my friends. he applied for exrension of his student visa on 22nd of january and was called for finger prints about two weeks ago and hasnt recieved his passport back as yet. his mom is seriously ill in pakistan and he wants to travel back home. he has got few options and is confused what to choose.

1) travel on travelling documents from pakistan highcommision. how is he going to get his passport in pakistan to travel back to uk??

2) wait for his visa which can even take a month to come. ( his mom is critically ill and he is advised by his family to travel asap)

3) He has spoken to his local M.P to direct homeoffice to deal with his case as quickly as possible. M.P said that he has done his bit as he faxed the required documents to homeoffice.. shall he be waiting for homeoffice reply.

its all very confusing in a situation as critical as this. any advice will be appriciated..

He can contact the HO to retrieve his docs and then resubmit his application abroad.

No, without visa he won’t be able to come back.

A month? It can be longer than a month for sure, nothing can be predictable its UK HO, it can take months …

Well I would say if that’s his real situation, then who cares abt visa, c mom first, he can get visa again but no mom again.
