Question: Net Pay 0 becasue of deductions for 3 months

Post by smarty1277 » Wed Mar 17, 2010 5:49 am

Hi All,

One of my friend is planning to apply for TIER1(GENERAL). His Gross Salary for past 12 months is 12,01,714 but his Net Salary is 4,77,342 as there are lots of deductions because he has taken Travel Advances which he didn't returned on time so they deducted from his salary. In Pay Slips also for continuous 3 months his Net Pay is 0 (zero) so there are no entries in Bank Statement. He need 40 Points from previous earnings for applying as he got 35 Points from his Education and no points for age. Please let me know whether he is eligible to apply as if we take Net Pay then he is getting only 30 Points for previous earnings. Gross is enough but for continuous 3 months there are no entries of his salary. What are his chances?

Thanks.

To gain points from Previous Earnings, your friend should need to take the GROSS SALARY into consideration and claim the points for the same.. HO should not be bothered if his net is 0 or 9999999 but they would only check if the NET Salary in the payslip for a particular month is MATCHING EXACTLY with the Amout Credited in the bank is same or not.. they are not bothered about wat he borrowed or spent.. so you should take this case in a normal way but to be on safe side and not to surprise the caseworker.. it would be good to put in brief about the situation for those months in the cover letter...

Agree with Ramesh. Make sure you highlight this fact clearly BOLD,UNDERLINE it so that trigger happy caseworkers do not miss it.
