My fiancee is arriving next week from Korea on a visitor's visa. I am told that we can apply to the Home Office for a Certificate of Approval, and then marry here in the UK. Is this correct? We tried to put together an application for settlement, but I couldn't prove sufficient income. What is the difference between the route we've chosen, and her coming here on a Fiancee visa? Thanks so much.
PS. Does anyone know how long a Certificate of Approval usually takes to be processed?
