earnings question related to new tier-1 rules from 6thapril

Hello friends,

I'm sorry to say this, but I'm not really happy with the new rules released by the HO for the Tier-1 General applications.

My query is regarding the previous earnings??

I work thru my own limited company. As per the earnings band (new rules) my total earnings will be £ 30,600 GBP by end of this year and also by the time I make my application.

But still worried because I'm slightly above the threshold.

Could you please confirm me that ,will it be a problem in future while making my tier-1 application if the earnings are just above 30k( as this will get my complete points as required 95)??

Please help me out...

this rules affect only intial Tier1 applications.
clarify ur present visa situation .
then someone will advise.

you need to tell me whether you are claiming points from your education, age or uk exp. They are counted as well.

As mentioned, in order to get qualify, 95 points are required. Here are the one’s I’m claiming for,

Master’s degree – M.Sc (Electronics)-35 points,
Age – 25yrs – 20 points,
Qualification obtained in UK- 5 points,
£ 25,000 or higher earnings in UK – 5points,
English language mandatory points – 10 points,
Maintenance funds – 10 points
Earnings – 15 points .This is my question??
As per the band, we get 15 points if we fall under £30,000 - £ 35,000 GBP.
And , My total earnings would be £ 30,600 GBP wile making my application.

So, worried tht will I get 15 points or not as I’m just above threshold

as per my knowledge u need to fullfill 75+10+10
doesnt matter if u get more points aswell.
as far as u touch these points there is no need to worry.

You should be fine if your earnings are £30000 or above. You would qualify even if your previous earnings is exactly £30000. So, £30600 is good enough.

NO, you claim either Education or Employment, maximum you can get here is 5.

Master + 30K earning + Age + UK exp = 35+15+20+5 = 75
Congarts, I think you still qualified for Tier 1 after 6th April

I think this is where we all get confused : The requirements says Uk experience = 5 Earnings above £25,000 = 5 . I believe the whole point allocated here is 10 and not 5 as People are speculating. If the HO is giving 5 here they wouldn’t have bothered putting 5 separate points in front of each requirements and also a simple English like UK Experience or Earnings above 25,000 ( Please note they did not say OR that means points are separate).

as here anyone can speculate according to own thinking..

so give me please reference to some home office documentation regarding this p oint..
