EC application

I have been approved for my HSMP and am now have an appointment with the NYC consulate.

However, since electronically filling out the VAF-1, I have begun to re-think when I want my work permit to become valid. Can I change the entry date after the VAF-1 is submitted? I assume I can change the hostel I'm planning to stay at as well, yes?

I dint quite understand your queries., anyways.., you can actually request for a post dated visa if you have plans to travel late... you have to mention that in VAF-1 or your covering letter ., and yeah., after you get a EC you can change your hostels.....

Right. I need to move the date my EC becomes valid up, from Jan of next year to Nov of this year. I've already applied for the EC with the VAF-1. However, I'm supposed to bring a hard copy with me. Can I just fill out another VAF-1 form? Or will filling out another one confuse the consulate?

again.., depends on case to case basis.. you can request them to change the start date .., giving good reason as to why you requested something before and why did you change it now.., if they ask for a new application, keep it handy...

The same story...
I have applied for my EC and mentioned in the covering letter and VAF form the resons behind this.

Now they say, you can come and have your visa stamped... And when I asked them about the delay, the lady I spoke to couldn't give me the straight answer about whether I will get my wisa stamped as I requested or it will be stamped as of the current date.

Now they say that I can just hold on and visit the embassy 3 months later, because they will keep my documents for 6 months period....

I wonder what I am supposed to do. Will go to the embassy and find out.
