Child Benefit

Post by Udai123 » Sun Mar 21, 2010 9:13 am

My son is a British Citizen and me and my wife are on ILR. We are thinking of applying for Child Benefit for our child. Will claiming this benefit have any impact on our application when we apply for citizenship in October 2010 ? I would appreciate any guidance on this item.

Thanks

Look at the conditions on your wife's visa! Arrh, there aren't any conditions! In particular there is no mention of "No recourse to Public Funds".

No problem claiming Child Benefit, nor any problem claiming Tax Credits.
