tier 2 (ICT) to tier 2 general - some queries

Hi Guys,

Currently I am working in tier 2 (ICT) visa. I want to switch to tier 2 general. Assuming my employer is ready to sponsor for my visa, can i anyone explain wats the feasible method for smooth transfer ?

1.Should i get the COS from the prospective employer before informing the present employer ? or the other way ?

2. Is there any notice period to relieve from present employer (HO perspective) ?
