Maintenance Requirement

I believe I read somewhere that you can have someone sponsor you to meet the requirement. I live with my partner who has more than enough money in the back for the 2 of us, and it helps that she is an EU national, so she would be moving with me. However, My funds are limited now as they've been drained paying bills during unemployment. Is it true that I can have her sponsor me for the maintenance requirement or will I have to be added to her bank account?

I'm currently applying for jobs, so it's important to have this squared away asap, especially since most of the recruitment in Higher Education is done at this stage.
