Tier 1 new forms - when are they expected?

Post by cooltt_18 » Fri Mar 26, 2010 8:24 am

Consensus is that the new forms should be out about a week before 6th april. Since 1st april to 5th april are holidays (Easter), shall we expect the new forms (along with complete guidance) to be released early next week?

I know the consensus here says that the new forms and guidance will be out a week before the implementation but if you read the statement of policy released with the Tier 1 and Tier 2 annoucement there is a statement in it that says:

"Comprehensive guidance for sponsors and applicants will be available on the UK Border Agency website on 6 April 2010, and will supersede the existing guidance for these routes."
http://www.bia.homeoffice.gov.uk/siteco ... -of-policy

Based on that, I would assume that all documentation including guidance will be out by April 6th.

Either way, I'm with you. I would rather have the documentation out earlier than April 6th since I want to apply ASAP after the new rules are implemented (i.e. a day after the changes happen). I have so far gathered evidence based on the current Tier 1 Guidance rules. I'm taking the tact that if I get as much evidence as possible for all the attributes I am claiming points, then it'll make sure I cover all bases with regarding to any changes in the guidance notes. Before I submit, I'll do a once or twice over of the new guidance notes, but I'm confident that I should already have the evidence needed.

Ditto!

I have infact gone a step ahead and booked an appointment for 6th april. Would really be disappointed if i am not able to file the papers on 6th itself just for the lack of new forms.

Keeping fingers crossed now and hoping that the forms come out a bit earlier!

I think you should cancel it since i called up the UKBA helpline and they confirmed that the forms will be released on 6-April. The lady on the phone didn't care to listen much. She pointed to the above quote in the news announcement. It might happen that they may chose to release it early, however i doubt after the response i got.
