You don't need visa to travel to Spain if you are joining your spouse.

as rebel82 says, by EU law, you are visa exempt if you accompany or join your spouse in another EU state.

The Spanish Embassy in Dublin, Website wrote: FAMILY MEMBERS OF EU CITIZENS
Holders of 4EUFam residence card will be exempt of the visa requirement providing they acompany or join the EU-EEA citizen
There has been problems with airlines, Government Embassies, and Immigration control who don't know the law.
Spain has a poor record of ignorant officials. read this nightmare story

So I suggest, you please print out the Spanish Embassy website Visa information, And be able to ring your spouse. in case you meet one of these guys.

I respect other people answers as by law yes u dont need visa but in reality you do need visa to go to spain regardless traveling alone or with spouse or joining spouse if the EUstamp was given by a country which is a schengen if not then u do need . As i travelled to spain and my stamp 4 eu fam was from ireland which is not schengen so i had to get visa which was free and on priority

With respect I think you are wrong here because the other poster who posted a link that was the Spanish embassy's web page and they have clearly stated that if you hold a residence card issued by Irish authorities (4EUfam) you don't need visa to Spain when you are traveling together or joining your spouse.
