College closed but visa granted

Post by SpyJoe » Tue Apr 06, 2010 3:37 pm

Hi everyone, my friend has been granted with a Tier 4 General Student visa just a few weeks before her college was closed by Home Office.

We are trying to find out if she needs to find another college to study before her visa expires in September in order to stay in UK legally.

We have been trying to find a different college, but nobody accepts students at this time, as all courses start in September.

If anyone could please answer the following questions:

1. Does she need to find another college now?
2. If she doesn't find a college until September, will Home Office grant her another visa for a year? (As far as I know, Home Office asks for proof of studying in UK until the end of current visa when re-applying for a visa.)
3. Is there a chance of getting the money back that she paid for the college?
4. Are there any colleges that accept students at the end of the study year?

Any help is appreciated, thank you.
