ILR for dependent Query!

Post by npanglia » Mon Apr 12, 2010 8:41 am

Hi
Me and my dependent (wife) are applying for tier 1 general visa (initial applicant).
I am planning to enter within 28 days of getting the visa to avoid second extension of tier 1 visa and qualify for ILR.
My query is if my dependent can enter after 28 days of getting the visa, will she need to get second extension to tier 1 or she will also be eligible for ILR since I will be.

Please clarify.

Dependant needs to be in the country for 2 yrs before than can apply for ILR. So, they can enter after 28 days but before 2 yrs from the time you will be eligible for ILR.
