Dependent visa and main applicant passport expiry

Post by js03022006 » Thu Apr 15, 2010 3:07 am

Hi All,

I have few queries mentioned below, please respond.

1. My passport will expire on December 2010 and I am planning to travel UK (Tier 1 visa) sometime in June 2010. Will it be an issue as i have only 6 months validity in my passport?

2. I am planning to apply dependent visa for my wife and son. In dependent application form there is field Main applicant's passport expiry date. Will it be an issue in processing the dependent application forms as i have only 6 months validity in my passport?

3. Actually I am thinking to renew my passport after applying the dependent applications as Tier 1 dependent visa process will take some time. Please let me know which one I should process first, a) Renew my passport OR b) Applying for dependent visa

Thanks in advance.

IMHO ... renew your passport first and put your worries to rest.
