How to Process Tier1 General Visa from India

Hi Friends,
Scored 90points in hsmp calculator.
I have been to UK,Is that will be helpful for me to get this visa on my own instead of going through consultency and also had H1B visa but got cancelled while from one company to other company..
Can any one explain me how to process this visa on my own.I mean what are the steps to be followed?
