Joint bank account

Hi,

Can a joint bank account be used to show evidence of funding? I have a joint UK account with my girlfriend, but she'll be applying for her visa from Burma so I don't think she will be able to get statement since the bank won't be in that country. Can I send statement by courier or something for the joint account to her?
