Tier 2 (Company Sponsored) -- Leaving company

Post by ludosabato » Fri Apr 23, 2010 1:16 am

Hi,

i'm leaving the company that my entry clearance is currently connected with. Do you know how long i am allowed to live in the country before the government kicks me out? Or how long I have to move to find a new employer?

thank you
- mike

Since your current visa with the company has validity;

you are ok to live in the country till your company informs HO that you are no more working for them and You need to move out of UK with max 60days from the date they notified HO;

Hi Ramesh,

is it 28 days or 60 according to the new rules? i thought it is 60 according to the UKBA Website
link - http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/worki ... s/#header6

in the above link please see the last paragraph which is as following,

Finishing a job
If your job ends before your permission to stay runs out, it is likely that we may limit your permission to stay to 60 days. You will need to apply again by making a new application.

We will not limit your permission to stay if you have less than six months left.

Please let me know if i am getting it wrong..thanks for your support. Cheers.
