POST DATED PSW VISA

Hi

I recently got the visa PSW visa from 21-4-2010 to 21-4-2012, New Delhi application centre. However, on the page 1 of the form I mentioned 25-6-2010 on which I want to travel.

On which date do you wish to travel to the UK >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> D D M M Y Y Y Y

Now, what should I do, contact VFS or High Commission? I cant travel before 25-6-2010 and ultimately the visa would be useful for only 22 months. Is it a normal mistake made by high commission, which can be rectify, once I contact them.

its only 2 months!!! it doesnt matter when you travel...and once in uk, on psw, and then you find a job, then you will be looking to change into tier 1 general or tier 2 general category anyway.

i dont see your point of changing visa dates although you could ,maybe, get an answer from HO .. or wait for other replies

Ur crying over 2 months lost in ur PSW Visa? Keep it that way and travel whenever you want. The UKBA gives all visa's that way. Did you expect your PSW to start the day you put down for travel.. Come on dude..

I am aware about most of the rules governing PSW thank you. Nobody would ever claim to know all the rules. Yup, I made a mistake by stating that UKBA gives all their Visas that way. Almost all the cases I have seen has a date of entry clearance before the intended date of travel. Anyways, having said that, you where probably unlucky to get those 2 months before the date you intend to travel. Happens to some people so take it with the flow..

can i ask you one thing please ? when did u apply for post study work visa?? how much time did it take for you to get ur visa done?? I know it is irrelevant to your question but i m waiting for my visa and it is over a month now...please do reply.

applied on 12 april and visa stamped on 21 april, recd from vfs on 23 april
