WP TO Tier 1(G)

Hi All
Me and some of my friends are in the same conditions, hence i will try to give my story in a nutshell.

I am on a WP here and have been for 2 years. Now I like to switch to Tier 1(G), but the current requirement for salary for me is £40,000. My current salary is around £38,000 but still £2000 short. I know that I am not allowed to do additional work as stated in the WP document unless I meet their strict criteria which I cannot.

The thing I want to know is CAN I EARN OVERSEA WHILE REMAINING HERE AND CAN THAT BE COUNTED AS MY EARNING for Tier 1(G).
