references for naturalisation

Post by rogerroger » Wed Oct 19, 2005 6:06 pm

Hello

i have managed to get hold of one reference, however that reference is signed 10th of october, my second reference will probably be signed 20/25 october and i will be going to the NCS in the second week of november(provided i pass in the citizenship test exam).

do you think the fact that my first reference is out by a month may be an issue?

It makes no difference. The requirements are simply that it be signed and dated which it is. Basically as of the date of signature the referee is vouching for having known you for a certain time and you having a knowledge of english etc.

In any reasonable time after that he is hardly likely to forget you or you miraclously lose your language skills so for the purposes of what the form is trying to assess you are fine.
