Post by user_name » Mon May 03, 2010 4:43 pm

Hello,
Can a dependent of a Tier1(General) holder work in UK?
Is there any restrictions for working in terms of job types like permanent/contract/temporary and number of hours allowed to work etc..?
Would you shed some light on this please?
Thanks very much!

Your dependent have same working right as you have. The only thing is her/his visa is dependent on your visa. As long as you have visa, he/she can work without any restriction. this is beauty of tier 1 (General) visa compared to H1B of USA. Long live UK. :)
