extension tier 2 -same employer!

Hi, Im currently here on a tier 2 sponsored visa. My current visa will end about a month before I can apply for residency (annoying...). My employer though is willing to extend my contract for another 2 months, but neither my boss nor I know exactly what would be involved in this. (HR is unforutunately not of great help). If I can get my contract amended and extended. Do we need to apply for a new sponsorship, or some kind of extension? I know this will likely result in my needing to apply for further leave to remain... but my question is about what my employer needs to do. HELP!

If your company already has SPONSER LICENCE t
en they need to provide you with COS (Certificate of sponsership ) and you can use it n apply for ur extension

just make sure u satisfy the CODE OF PRACTICE (job title n min. salary)
