Extension while being out-of-country

I currently hold a HSMP visa and it is about time to renew it to Tier 1 visa. I worked in the UK for 1 year, but I have moved to another country for job since October 2009. So my question is whether I can still extend my visa under HSMP renewal category? Thanks for your ideas!

Are you claiming earning points in UK i.e are you paying taxes here??
main reason for HSW is for you to make UK your permanent home.
