Before entering UK

Post by Senonthachil » Tue May 11, 2010 11:50 am

Hello All,

Forgive me, if posting in the wrong place!

I would like to know some info about the steps after getting visa.

I have my visa approved, now I'm planning to fly on 21st this month.
the following things i need to know.

1. Is there any interviews or so I have to attend before/after the travel with the BA or High commission / immigration as its my EC?

2. Is there any medical check up to be done before or after the journey?

I hope someone can help me here immediately.

Regards
Senon

Congrats

Not really, they would stop you at the airport for stamping your passport and from there they might ask a couple of questions regarding your application so keep your documents handy.

If you could arrange a TB/chest xray and certificate then it'd save you a lot of time at the airport as you have to go through medical when you land the first time. If you had already done the TB screening when you applied for EC then keep that certificate with you

I hope someone can help me here immediately.

Goodluck.

hello there!

many thanks for your reply, i was kinda worried that no one is answering! :(

first point i'm clear with now, second thing, I had not submittted any medical reports at the time of applying, is it advisable that i do it now and carry the report along at the airport?

I'd say get it done, get the TB screening done and take the certificate with you. It is not necessary but it saves you a lot of time at the airport
