Gross salary let me in, net doesn't

Post by khaledeng » Tue May 18, 2010 11:17 pm

Hi Experts,

My gross salary grants me the points I need to reach the 75 points while my net salary doesn't. Based on this fact, which if the following document I must to provide th UKBA:

i. 12 Payslips printed on company headed paper, signed and stamped by the payroll manager.

ii. Letter from the employer stating my gross salaries in the 12 months.

iii. Bank statements of the last 12 months. (But this will only show the net salary which is not enough to get the points I need)

Another question, the tax is included in the payslip. We don't have P60 like doc here, is it a must ?

Thanks

* If you apply under employment then your gross income is considered
* If you apply under self-employment(business) then net income is considered
* Pay Slips + Bank Statements are enough
* Try to get pay slips on Company Letter Head if you can
* Bank Statements must on original letter head of the bank
* No other document is required if these 2 are given

is letter from the employer confirming earning in 12 months and bankstatement would be enough.

not sure what is your confusion is. Have you gone through the guidelines? stamped payslips or letter from employer and stamped/original bank statements or letter from bank are enough. The bank statements will always show net and is acceptable.

Thanks for everyone replied to me.

My confusion comes from the fact that Bank statements will only show the net salary which will not give me the points I need. But now, I understand that it doesn't matter and the only purpose of the bank statements is only to confirm that the net salary in the pay slips is the same as transferred to the bank. Am I correct ?

Another thing, the bank will only give me statements of 11 months on headed-letter and the 12th on a regular page stamped. Is that ok ?

Sorry if I looked so doubtful, I just need to provide the docs in full to get the visa asap.

Many Thanks.

In case of salaried employee, the evidence you need to show are your:
Payslips,
Bank statements,
Letter from your employer/accountant to confirm your earnings.

The best thing to do whenever you apply for your visa is to make sure all the documents that you provide as supporting evidence should be attested, like
Payslips-if possible ask your HR/Accountant to Sign/Stamp.
Bank statement- even though they are genuine it’s good to take a signature/stamp from the bank officials.
As well , the letters you get from your HR/Accountant to be stamped

Coming to Gross/net salary, until unless the net salary mentioned on the payslip matches with the bank statements everything would be fine. So in your case it should be fine.

All, the best for your visa mate.
