if some one is detained by immigration police are they still allowed to attend there family related court case or will they just rot in immigration custody any replies would be helpful thanks
detained for being an illegal immigrant while there asylum case is ongoing

Anyway, people cannot stay in the UK on the basis that they have intentionally stateless. This is spelt out somewhere on the UKBA website.

yes i do understand ur point of being stateless but now while he is detained by the uk immigration will he be allowed to attend his court date.

There is always video link. This person needs to speak to a solicitor or get one quick.

The court case may not even need them to attend, who knows.

Has he tried applying to the management where he is detained to be allowed to attend court under escort? If he hasn't, it's the obvious thing to do, although the detention contractors are very cost-conscious and unlikely to agree if their contract with UKBA doesn't oblige them to.

well i dont think he has applied to them and as u said they can be very cost conscious as well so would they just let his court date just pass by and wont let him attend and if he applies to them and they turn him down which most likely they will (i think)...so any solutions in regards to all this and thanks for ur help
