Tier 4 Dependent Visa Maintenence fund

Post by meshk40 » Sat Jun 05, 2010 10:02 pm

Hi,

Im doing a masters course in uk and is under a student visa from Jan 2010. My course ends by Feb 2011. My wife has recently applied for Tier-4 dependent visa. she has shown approximately £6000 (converted from Indian Rupees) as maintenance fund in her account, which is well above the requirement.

My wife has submitted the following docs:

Passport & photo
marriage certificate
my passport & visa copies
28 day old maintenance funds (£6k) in her account
Letter from university including full fee payment status & visa letter
Proof of accommodation & No objection letter from my landlord

But I havn't provided my UK bank a/c statement. Please let me know is there any chance of rejection on this ground?

Hi,

For a student dependent visa does one have to show only 9X£400 (for course outside london) or more depending on the length of the course.

i.e If the length of the course is 3 years (PhD) do you still need to show for 9 months only or for 3x9 months.

I would much appreciate a reply from someone with similar condition/ experience.

Thanks

tier 4 dependant guidance policy states that it should be 9 month even the course is 2 or 3 years.
