Business visa/work permit

Hi

My employer is taking me previously on business visa to Sweden and later will apply for a 2 yr work permit.

I know on business visa I can be there for 3 months but can he apply for work permit when I am in Sweden or i need to return to my home country during the application process?

You'll need to return to your home country during the3 application process. Conversion of visa types is usually not at all encouraged.
