Gross or Net salary for qualifying points?

Post by vijayb » Sun Nov 13, 2005 4:21 pm

I am from India. I want to know about which salary amount( i.e. "Gross Salary" or "Net Salary after deduction of tax") is considered in HSMP application while evaluating earning score.
Thanks.
Vijay

Hi Vijay, It is your Gross Salary that will be taken into consideration.

Your gross salary will be used. They will also require evidence to prove that the said salary was subjected to tax. However, were such salary is exempted from tax, then you will need to provide evidence that it not taxable.
