Change the Student visa into Partner Visa

Post by sanjayrocks » Thu Jun 17, 2010 12:55 pm

Hi,

I had a problem with my student visa and appealed for it and successfully got it. But last week my college was closed so i got 2 months visa to apply for another college.

I was thinking can i go back to my country and apply for marriage or partnet visa with my gf who has PR in uk. I have the necessary proof for the genuine relationship.

Since i have 2 months do i have to get my student visa and apply or what if i go to my country and apply.

What is the best solution for me and any guidance tips will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

You should apply visa for your partner while living in London this is one the best chance where from you can meet with each other.

isn't there a minimum time remaining on t4 student visa required (ie 3 months remaining), before applying to switch to marriage visa - either flr(m) or EEA?

No. One may switch whenever he wishes, provided he meets the requirements.
