My queries
1. Can I show earnings from Indian salary & UK salary for the period of Jan, Feb, Mar & April 2010 ? In India I was getting a basic Salary into my Indian account for Feb, Mar & April 2010. :!:

- Yes you can. so you will have 2 components for Jan, Feb , Mar and Apr 2010.

-- Add the UK component for these 4 months (A)

-- Add the Indian component for these 4 months. Convert them to equivalent UK using the conversion factor. (B)

-- Add A+B to get salary from Jan - April 2010.

2. As I worked 15 Days in Jan in India & 15 in UK, I was paid full Indian Sal for Jan & later shown on Feb Salary pay slip of India (-17070) & deducted from UK Salary of March 2010 as LOAN REPAY GBP 244.73. Do I need to show any details other than the pay slip ? Do I need to make this clear in my cover letter ? :!:

-- You don't need to show any other proof other than pay slips. But it is important that you make it clear in your covering letter. Highlight the credit details in payslips and covering letter.

53045 - 17070 + 5000 + 5000

Convert this amount to Uk equivalent.

- April, May, June statement should be fine. Again mention it in the covering letters.

Thanks for the reply mate !

Just another query, what if

I show all the payslips from India (as above)
+
Letter from employers here in UK (instead of my UK payslips for the period of 18-Jan 2010 to 30-April 2010) ?

Will this work - Indian payslip + UK employers letter. If so what details to be included in the letter - Period of pay, Gross Pay, Net pay & pay date. Any more details to be furnished ?

Please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can. Make sure you are putting this very clearly in covering letter. Also get the HR letter from UK in the format given below.

Month | Gross Salary | Net Salary | Payment Date.

When you are calculating the total previous earnings, add up everything and give a detailed explanation. I would suggest you to use any of the covering letter formats available in the forum with spreadsheet for previous earnings.

You can't apply uplift on Indian salary if you were in the UK at that time. From your post above, it seems that you were in the UK from 18 Jan onwards. Thus, divide your Indian salary in two parts.... one till 18 Jan on which the uplift ratio is applied and the other from 19 Jan to 30 Apr on which a direct conversion to Sterling without uplift ratio is applied. I think you already have the corresponding bank statements for both the Indian and UK salary credits?

The application forms are alright. Search this forum to find out the list of other documents that need to be submitted as this has been covered extensively here.

For the interim limit, see this link. As you are already in the UK, the limit does not apply to you and your dependents. However, you need to apply on or before 19th July otherwise you need to tot-up 100 points instead of 95.

Hi, you are applying the exchange rate of 30th April, as per my knowledge I came to know you should apply the exchange rate of 1day prior of your application date.

I dont know if this information is correct please correct me.
