Tier 1 Renewal - working in another country and property

Hi, I am currently on a Tier 1 visa (3 year visa) in the UK. I am in permanent employment. I have been here for 1 year. I am however looking at transferring to Germany to work there for a year.

1. How does going to germany for a year impact my Tier 1 status when i am applying for a renewal?

2. I have purchased a property here. Someone mentioned that if my Tier 1 renewal was rejected, i will have to sell my property. I have not found any proof on this but it concerns me greatly.

Any opinion or thoughts?

I'm not sure about 1 (my guess would be that it will reset your ILR eligibility clock to zero), but 2 is definitely bollocks - you can own a property in UK even if you've never been here.
