HSMP Extension - Being on Contract type job does it affect?

Post by kool_gal11 » Thu Nov 24, 2005 6:02 pm

Hi.

I am in UK under HSMP and have to apply for extension April 2006.
Currently i am in a permanent job as a IT Consultant.
But i am getting a very good offer for contract job close to my home for 6 months.
I am pretty sure that i will be able to find some other contract near to home after that as well.

I would like to know does it make a difference when you apply for HSMP extension whether you are permanenetly employed or doing contract work.

Thanks
Ishika

Ishika,

It makes no difference as long as you are employed and can take care of yourself.

It makes no difference, so long you can prove that you are economically active

Hi.

Thanks for the replies.

How can i show i am economically active if i am doing contractual work.
Does salary slips and bank statements suffice.
Or are there any other documents required?

Thanks
Richa

Salary slips and bank statements will do just fine for extension.
I have just sent you an PM, have a look at that.
I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star.

No, no difference at all. You have to be just show that you have economical activity.
