resident card for a minor child(eu citizen)

Post by daddy » Thu Jul 08, 2010 12:49 am

I am about to apply for my eu 1 as an eu spouse. My step daughter is 7 years old British citizen, would she also be required to apply for a resident card here in Ireland as a dependant child, her mother(my wife) is also a British citizen .
Thanks for your help.

No, she dont need a residence card to live in Ireland. Once her mom(Eu citizen) is qualified to live in Ireland then she is qualify to live in Ireland as well.
It is only non Eu citizen that is supposed to apply for residence card.
