Tier 1 : Salary paid in India

Post by vishal_t » Thu Jul 08, 2010 3:06 pm

Hi Experts

I am currently on a Tier 2 work permit/ sponsored visa from India and have been working in UK on this for last 1.5 yrs on a work permit.

I am paid allowances in UK by my company but my salary is paid in India - In such circumstances how can I cover my financial requirements for Tier 1.

Could I use my base country as India (though I've been living in UK ?) to cover the documentation for financial requirements of Tier 1?

Appreciate your response and help from anyone who has had a similar experience.

regards
Vish

If you were in the UK, you cannot apply the uplift ratio for any Indian earnings. If the Indian earnings converted to GBP based on exchange rate + your UK earnings give you enough points, you are good to go
