Has anybody left for UK these days on HSMP visa? Were you demanded "protector" at the airport?

According to my perception no one can say with surity that on Airport they will not ask for protector. So my suggestion is that if you have protector then it is really good on the safer side.

Dr Java,

I remember you had some HSMP extension worries a few months back, was it all sorted?

It is something specific to Pakistan and Pakistanis.

Although technically you are not required to have a protector stamp if you do not have a contract of employment, but the government never misses a chance to make some money:) I will go back to Pakistan over the xmas break and will let you guys know if I am asked about the stamp or not.
