Depedant visa for parents - incorrect sticker in passport

Post by deepakmehtauk » Tue Jul 13, 2010 11:55 pm

Hi all,

I am a British citizen living here in the UK.
I applied for my mum's (an Indian citizen) ILR as my dependant in 2007.
After initially refusing, she was granted ILR in June 2008.
We received her passport with the ILR stamped around oct 2008.

Unfortunately her ILR doesn't mention that she has EU/EEA family visa even though she was granted ILR on the basis of her bring dependant on me.
I wasn't bothered initially, but now think that if she had been given the correct stamp we would have saved lots of hassle of Schengen visas while travelling to those countries.
Is there any way we can rectify this ?

How easily do you think the Home Office will correct this ?

Thanks in advance,

Deepak

If she had applied under the UK immigration rules, then ILR or ILE would have been the correct endorsement.

Deepak
So, as Vinny points out, her status had/has nothing to do with EEA Regulations.

There's nothing to rectify
