Back to Ireland

Post by Globe » Wed Jul 21, 2010 12:01 am

Hi all,

I was living in Ireland for 6 years. I left Ireland last year. My son is a Irish citizen, he is now 3 years old. If I want to come back to Ireland is that possible through my son's Irish citizenship?

I have also applied for residency in Nov 2008, still I didn't receive anything from the ministry. If my residency is approved, an I claim my residency through a solicitor?

Advise please

what kind of residency did you apply for? LTR?
If you are out of the country and applied for LTR before you left, chances are that your application will be refused, as you are not residing in ireland any more...
unfortunately, you cannot get any residency based on your son's irish nationality.
