HSMP dependant visa for spouse - in India

Post by sagarjv » Mon Dec 05, 2005 10:04 pm

Dear All,

I am living in UK since Jan'05 on HSMP visa and on a permanent job. In sep'05 I got 3 years extension also.

As I'll be getting married in Mar'06, can you please guide me what are the documents/application forms I need to submit while applying for dependant visa? How long it might take for processing dependant visa in India?

Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Sagar

You will need to submit along with a filled out VAF1 application,

- Spouse passport and photographs
- Your marriage certificate
- Your job details like salary slips, job contract
- Bank statements for the last 3-6 months
- Tenancy agreement
- Copy of your passport and residence permit sticker

I am not sure how long EC takes these days. It took my wife 2 days to get hers back in 2003 and we used the drop box facilities. If she has to go for medical and x-ray or be called in for an interview it will take longer, probably a couple of weeks.

I got married in August this year and applied for dependant visa for my wife in Delhi. We got it in one day.
They have VFS centres now, there you submit all the documents and passports and then next day you can collect everything, depending on whether your wife is called for an interview or not.

I submitted following documents:

1) Wife's passport with Photographs
2) Marriage certificate
3) Tenancy agreement
4) Pay slips for six months
5) Bank statements for six months
6) Copies of my passport and HSMP approval letter.

My wife was not called for Interview or X-Ray and she got the visa the next day.

Cheers!

Hello,

My situation is more or less the same. I will be calling my wife after I get HSMP extension sometimes around april 2006. My children are going to school and I cannot take them out in the middle term.

Please tell is it necessary to submit the Tenancy agreement along with other documents When I go to delhi VFS office?

technician,

A clue to your query - review the HSMP forum on EC refusals and the trend is that where there is no appropriate evidence of suitable (not overcrowded) accomodation and/or a huge and sudden influx of funds then you are refused. Give your application the best chance of success by giving the ECO a tenancy agreement. Add utility bills to further verify your tenancy.

good luck

Hello Kayalami,

Sorry I asked the wrong information.

First I will get the extension. Then go for a mortgage and then call my family.

I wanted to ask that is it necessary to have a Tenancy agreement for HSMP extension?? here in UK??

I can show a Bank balance of GBP around 8,500/= with other documents, but not the tenancy agreement as I am staying with a relative. Will 'I get the extension.

In VFS delhi I will certainly produce the UK housing proof for my family.

Thanks
