Switching from Tier 1 (General) main applicant to dependant

Post by HSAG1D » Sun Aug 01, 2010 2:39 am

Hi,

Both myself and my wife hold Tier 1 (General) residence permits and working in the UK. For the extension, I would like to switch to my wife's dependant. Should I apply from overseas after my wife is granted her extension?

Thanks in advance.

If you want to change from being a main migrant to a dependent, you must travel to home country and apply for dependent EC from there. You may do this now or after your spouse receives an extension .. as you wish.
