How to go ahead after U get reference no

Buddies can any one help in knowing that ones you get the reference no ; as I got it yesturday how to know your file status , and does getting of reference no speaks that your file is in process? Morever how long does it take after that. [/u]

Knowing your reference number only means that you have passed the payment process and a decision will be made on your application within the time scales published by the HO.

Time scales on HO web site are not upto date as they are 10 months older. I've heard that now HSMP applications are processed in 2/3 weeks. is it right ?

Also do they intimate (by email) that decision is made and they are going to dispatch it back now.

Ref no helps u in that ur docs have reached safely to HO for processing.

After that they take two to three weeks max on average.
You can mail them and check whether a case worker has been assigned or not, once a case worker is assigned it should take two weeks.

So would say don't mail them with ref no immediately, wait for a week then ask for status and so on.
