Can someone clarify this for me please

Post by jay09 » Mon Aug 16, 2010 12:32 pm

All
...................................

If I have 3yr and 6months experience with my current employer and another 6 months experience with a different employer which was in 2001/2002 (both experience applies for the same NOC code), can I then claim a total of 4 years working experience for the NOC when completing my form.

.........................

Secondly, my initial application was sent to CIO in march 2010, processed and letter sent in May 2010, due to send all documents to London in early september (still within recommended 120 days)-----will I be subject to the new 1000 NOC caps?. Definitely not...but please clarify.

thanks

Hi jay09,

Yes you can as long your position you held in both job were similar and with the same NOC code.

Unfortunately, you will be subjected to the new cap. Good luck !

Maxies,

Thanks for the reply but I'm afraid, you got it wrong this time. Pre-26 June applicants are not subject to new cap.

tnx

I'm happy for you. where did you get this information for other people's sake ? I did not see it on CIC website. Sorry about that.

It is clear on the CIC web. ANew rules came into place on 26/06/10 and therefore any initial application sent to CIO will be subject to the old rule (as per the rule in place pre-26 september).
