British Citizenship :: Indian properties and Investments

Dear All,

I am becoming a UK citizen this month and have following queries. In the interim when I am waiting for OCI card what happens to my investment in properties, shares. Also I am planning to open a company and run a business there. What are the legal implications for the same.

Hello,

as far as I know, you need either PIO or OCI in order to purchase properties or run a business.

another alternative is to get a business visa to allow you carry out this function.

I too am looking to set up a business in India, hence been waiting for OCI prior to taking any steps.
