Thanks for the links Sushdmehta and appreciate the quick response.

I read thru primary applicants & dependents forms requirement... here are the forms list..
1. Application form VAF9 - PBS Migrant
2. Application form VAF10 - PBS Dependant
3. PBS Appendix 1 General Migrant self assessment form (Appendix 1)

please correct me if I am wrong with the list..

But the UKBA website has a .pdf file Tier 1(GENERAL) version 07/10 --> APPLICATION FOR AN INITIAL GRANT OF LEAVE (SWITCHING) OR AN EXTENSION OF LEAVE UNDER TIER 1 (GENERAL)
MAIN APPLICANT

This contains a form that is of a different format...

The forms on UKBA site are for people applying / extending from within the UK. Not for you as you are applying from India.

You may refer to the policy guidances on the UKBA website, but the forms there are not for you. Use forms on UKVisas website.

Hi Immanuel,

I'm at the same stage, but yet to take the 2 letters from concerned authorities.
So, did these letters work out for you?

Cheers

Immanual2010, all I can say is what you refer to (and quote) as bank statement is actually a letter from the bank which may be useful only in certain circumstances.

Thanks for the caution. sushdmehta, this time my doubts are about the previous earnings. I read through the guidance document, But still would be happy if clarified....

1. Previous earnings overseas should be converted to GBP against the conversion rate as on the last date of claim period. Say 12 month period is 01/07/2009 to 30/06/2010, the conversion rates would be as of 30/06/2010.

2. Maintenance fund say has been maintained from 18/05/2010 to 23/08/2010. The date for applying Tier 1 Visa is 27/08/2010. Then the conversion rate will be as of date 27/08/2010

Thanks for the support....

Got my VISA this Wednesday(02/09/2010) stamped

Post by Immanuel 2010 » Sat Sep 04, 2010 7:47 pm

Dear All forum members,

Thanks for all your guidance and support. By the grace of God I have received my Tier 1 Visa stamped to me and my wife as dependent. Visa starts from the requested date 25/11/2010 (3months ahead).

Lessons learnt:
1. Plan your application dates
2. Don't hesitate to ask questions and clarify doubts
3. Read the forum well for all available posts.
4. When you have a commune of helping natured people supporting regularly in this forum, it would be insane to spend on consultancies/agencies.

Good Luck to others...
