hi tahnyuh, if you are unsure and are not able to get a reply from anybody here, you can call one of the visa agencies and ask them, alternatively there is the uk consulatte in new york, but they charge ridiculous fees and who you speak to may not be too clued up.

What category of visa are you switching from? It doesn't matter which of you is supporting the other, as long as you can show that you have a minimum of £102.95 remaining weekly after rent or mortgage, council tax and any loan/credit repayments have been made.
The missing 7 days at the beginning of your 3 months statements shouldn't be a problem if you're also submitting pay slips as evidence of regular income.
