My EC has been APPROVED !!!!!

Post by lbfrancois » Wed Jan 04, 2006 8:12 pm

Hi!

Just want to share with you that my EC has been approved today. I applied for EC in Rio de Janeiro on December 20. There was no interview, I sent my docs through the mail and received a call this morning asking me to pick up my documents.

Those are the documents I sent to the embassy:

1. VAF1 for HSMP Holder
2. VAF1 for HSMP Dependent (my unmarried partner)
3. Proof of relantionship (mostly bills and insurance certificates showing the same address covering a period of two years and a half)
4. Booking receipt for accomodation (self catering studio apartment in london - 14 days)
5. HSMP approval letter
6. emails I exchanged with recruitment companies, about interviews I did via phone
7. Three bank statements (the last one was printed by the bank and stamped by the manager)
8. Car documentation, and oficial sale price
9. last 3 payment slips and employer agreement
10. Income tax
11. Passport
12. Check for the visa fees
13. Copies of everything to be retained by the embassy (although they gave me back the copies along with the originals, dont understand why)
14. 2 photos
15. Spreadsheet of expected budget (covering six months)
(Hopefully I am not forgetting to mention anything)

I didnt provide translations, as the embassy said it was not necessary.

I will arrive in london on February 23. Looking forward for it!!!!

Thanks everyone for the help and support.
I think my case gives hope to ppl who had their applications rejected by Home Office... My first application was rejected, along with my two appeals. But after three negatives I didnt give up and filed a second application, which THANK GOD was approved! And now it's time to start packing! ;-)

Wish you all good luck and strength to achieve your goals.

Lu.

Hi Ajex,

Thank you!

I searched Google, and I found a few hotels that had self catering studios for affordable prices.

Ibfrancois

Congratulations, faith is the substance of things hoped for. Your persistence paid off, you will definately need lot's of it to suceed in the UK particulary in the first few months when it tends to be hardest. The moral of the story is that if you faithfully and diligently persevere you will normally suceed. All the best.
