Duration of stay outside uk for HSMP dependent

Post by jazbaati99 » Sat Jan 07, 2006 12:12 pm

Is there any restiction on the number of days a HSMP dependent can stay out of UK? I know the main HSMP holder cannot stay more than 90 days out of UK in one stretch if he/she wants the time clock to be continous. Does this apply to HSMP dependent as well? i.e. if an HSMP dependent stays out of UK for more than 90 days his/her time clock resets back to zero.

As always, any help is highly appreciated.

I reckon that the same limitation applies to the dependants as well.

i think clock for ILR or citizenship may reset. But for FLR application in future. It should be fine. More experts can comment

better to confirm

Post by busa » Mon Feb 12, 2007 11:53 pm

General consensus says its not applicable to dependents. However the rate at which the rules are changin it would be better to confirm. I will drop a mail to get some response from IND.

I am guessing nobody would have been this situation and applied for ILR and Nationality. But I think similar rule must apply to work permit candidate.
