Application Withdrawl

Urgent Advise required!

I have applied for Tier 1 Visa on 1 sep but have not received any communiucation regarding my visa; now I need to travel out of country on 30 Sep (officail/unavoidable work); what would you suggest?

- Should I apply for withdrawl of my application immediately?
- Is their any more sense to wait for 1 more day?
- How much time does it take to get back my passport from the UK HC?

Thanks for your response! actually i also do not want to withdraw but do not see any way out.
Can youn please let me know howmuch time do they take to provide the passport back.
