Dependent reduced maintenance funds for old policy visa

My Visa is on old policy (before March 2009 ). I have completed an year course in uk. if I change my visa now to tier 4 new policy through extension, shall I have to show reduced maintenance funds (for 2 months ) for my dependents as tier 4 visa would be given just a few days before. My dependents are in my home country yet.
